Katy Perry, Sean Paul and Lana Del Ray dominated the stage of Germany's annual ECHO Music Awards in Berlin, where Adele picked up two awards to add to her string of BRIT and Grammy wins.

The British star scooped Album of the Year for 21, as well as Best Female International Artist at Thursday evening's event, fending off competition from Lady Gaga and the late soul singer, Amy Winehouse.

German band Rammstein made wins on their home turf claiming Best Alternative Group and Best German Act Abroad. The band teamed up with shock rocker Marilyn Manson to deliver a highly charged performance on stage.

British band Coldplay won Best International Group, while French star David Guetta picked up Best Club Performer.

Bruno Mars beat veteran crooner Chr…

Hi, everyone, I have big news. I was at breakfast this morning and you will never guess what I heard on the radio: (well, you will if you read the title) "I'll Be Waiting"!!!(: It's very possible that it could just be played by the radio station, but "I'll Be Waiting" has great single potential. So, what do you think? Should "I'll Be Waiting" be the next single from 21?

The U.K. pop group One Direction is aiming for a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 album chart next week with its first album, "Up All Night." However, Adele's "21" may block the quintet from the top with a return to No. 1. Presently, industry sources suggest "Up All Night" may sell around 160,000 to 170,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, March 18. However, Adele's "21" could sell right around the same amount. How the albums perform over the weekend will play a large part in their placing on the chart next week. Even if One Direction settles for a No. 2 bow, it will make history as the highest debut from U.K. group's first album. The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, March 21. …

The British singer, Adele was the popular choice for film fans and came first in the poll by website IGN.com.

Adele has been rumoured before to be recording the theme song for the 23rd 007 film but producers have denied any knowledge of this.

Muse came second in the vote while Foo Fighters came third, U2 were fourth and Florence And The Machine rounded out the top five.

Arctic Monkeys, Lana Del Rey, Guns N' Roses, Yeah Yeah Yeahs' singer Karen O, and Rihanna made up the rest of the top ten.

One person who is definitely behind Adele is Tom Jones, who backed the star to sing the theme song.

The Welsh singer, who sung on Thunderball, told The Sun:

Not that she needs it but Adele would be the perfect choice for doing Skyfall.

    Is Adele engaged?

February 25, 2012 by Adele Addict

I hate to start sparking rumors that are not true, but according to various websites, Simon Konecki has proposed to Adele. The singer was seen flaunting a diamond ring at the Grammys this year and was later spotted at the BRIT Awards wearing a similar diamond ring. While she has not confirmed or denied it yet, one source has stated that:

"They can hardly bare to be apart, and have already talked about spending the rest of their lives together. Adele's never been one for big, over-the-top celebrations, so she's told Simon she'd rather elope. They'd gather about 20 of their close friends and family and go to Las Vegas for the ceremony. Then she and Simon would disappear to Memphis - Adele's a big Elvis fan - for a romantic honeymoon."

    The pai…

The father of musical megastar Adele Adkins told of his torment over their rift days after she won a raft of Grammy Awards and paid a moving tribute to her mom.

Mark Evans, a plumber, walked out on Adele when she was two, leaving her 20-year-old mom Penny Adkins to raise her single-handedly.

Speaking at the Los Angeles ceremony last Sunday, the 23-year-old singer – who scooped six Grammys – said: “I just want to say mum, your girl did good!’”

But she made no mention of father Mark who was overcome with emotion watching his daughter on television thousands of miles away at his Bridgend home.

“When she sings, it’s so beautiful,” he said. “But it brings back too many memories.

    “It’s too painful.

“There’s so much regret on my part — regret that I wa…

Yes, last night on the Grammys red carpet, Ryan Tedder confirmed some huge news. Endless rumors of this have been lingering in Adele's fans' heads, but now these rumors have become fact - the fact that "Rumour Has It" will be the fourth single from Adele's record-breaking album 21. "Rumour Has It" is heading to pop, adult pop and adult contemporary radio in mid-March, a Columbia Records executive confirmed on Monday. The song was originally going to be released as the third single from 21 following "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You", but a last minute decision by the record label changed that, and "Set Fire to the Rain" was released as the album's third single instead (although XL Recordings had previously confirmed "Rumour Has It…

Congratulations, Adele! At the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, which took place last night, Adele won all six awards she was nominated for and made her triumphant return to the stage with an epic performance of her smash single, "Rolling in the Deep". We could not be more happy for Adele right now. Adele, who also appeared on 60 Minutes prior to the Grammys, had talked about her vocal surgery and how it all went down on the show, and even sang an acapella version of her single "Someone Like You". This was one of several songs she was rumored to be performing at the Grammys, the others including "Rolling in the Deep", "Rumour Has It", and "Set Fire to the Rain". After performing "Rolling in the Deep", Adele received a standing ovation. Congratulati…

All eyes and ears are on Adele

    February 12, 2012 by Roxyme

Who wins what is often secondary to the drama of the Grammy Awards. The 54th annual edition of the music-biz awards, taking place in Los Angeles on Sunday, is no exception.

Although Kanye West is the lead nominee, nominated for seven 2012 Grammys, he's not going to be the star of Sunday's broadcast. Instead, Britain's soul-singing sensation, Adele, is shaping up to be the central figure, a twist of fate that must irk the ambitious rapper.

Rosy-cheeked Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is up for a half-dozen awards, tied with rockers Foo Fighters and urban crooner Bruno Mars. But the spotlight is on Adele because she's scheduled to perform on the telecast, the 23-year-old's first performance since she had surgery on her vocal cords five months ago.

A few days ago, a top 10 list was created to see what song the fans wanted Adele to sing at the Grammys this year, and the results are in! The #1 song is... (Drum roll please.) "Set Fire to the Rain"! Considering how only 3 people voted, it really didn't have any competition... It received two votes, with "Rolling in the Deep" receving one vote. So, let's see if you're right. Will Adele dominate with the best Grammy performance of all-time with "Set Fire to the Rain"? We'll find out tomorrow.

This was kind of a neat video I found while skimming for Adele videos on YouTube that shows coverage of Adele's fans' opinions of her performance at the Royal Albert Hall (which was captured on film and can be viewed in the popular DVD or Blu-Ray -- Live At The Royal Albert Hall). Apparently "Someone Like You" is popular among the fans. You can watch the video below:

So, what do you think? And what's your favorite song she performed at the Royal Albert Hall? Just thought I'd see what your thoughts are on this.... :) Thanks, guys.

Am I the only one pondering as to why Adele's latest smash single "Set Fire to the Rain" has no music video yet? Yes, that unofficial one was created, but she has yet to comment on that, and I'm pretty sure Adele would have liked to participate in a music video for her song, especially being that it's that big of a song. MTV, VH1, etc. (all music video channels) have been running the video of her performance of the song from her DVD/CD concert, Live At The Royal Albert Hall, but will this officially be the music video for the song, or are they just trying to buy some time as she films the music video? I don't know -- her schedule seems pretty jammed with her upcoming return to the stafe at the Grammys and spending time with her new boyfriend,…

Adele, who has been nominated for 6 Grammys, has officially confirmed this morning that she will be joining the long list of stars who will be performing at the Grammys. After confirming the news on Twitter (stating: "Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait, speak soon xx"), an official statement was also made to the media, in which Adele stated:

No word yet on what song she will be performing, but it's finally official ~ Adele will be making her comeback at the Grammys this month. So, what song do you want her to sing at this year's Grammys ceremony? And what are your thoughts on the confirmation of her performance at the Grammys?

    Go Adele!

Adele has officially passed Rihanna's "We Found Love" on the Hot 100 list with her single, Set Fire to the Rain.

Although Rihanna had the #1 spot for quite a while, it's time for Adele to take that place instead. But this isn't her first time at the top of teh list--Rolling in the Deep, not surprisingly, topped the charts for seven weeks last year.

So, are you happy for Adele or do you think "We Found Love" should still be on top? Comment below and tell us what you think!

Rumour Has It that Adele will be making her official comeback this February at the 54th annual Grammy awards. A recent commercial for the Grammys shows Adele performing "Rolling in the Deep", a song which has earned her three of her six Grammy nominations. Adele has also recently confirmed she will be present at the Grammys in February, but the one remaining question is: Will she be performing? So, here's my question for you: What song should she perform if she is to make her comeback at the Grammys?

Here is a list of the Grammys Adele is nominated for:

    • Best Pop Vocal Album (21)
    • Album of the Year (21)
    • Song of the Year ("Rolling in the Deep")
    • Record of the Year ("Rolling in the Deep")
    • Best Short Form Music Video ("Rolling in the Deep")

In 2011, Evanescence rose again, ending a four-year hiatus with a chart-topping new album, a pair of booming singles and a triumphant tour.So as the year draws to a close and MTV reveals our picks for the Best of 2011, we're reaching out to a host of acts who dominated and defined the past 12 months to get their take on the year in music. And, really, there are few that both dominated and defined quite like Evanescence did.

That's why we had to ask frontwoman Amy Lee who she'd name as the year's best artist. And her answer is sort of shocking, given that she fronts one of the loudest bands in rock. Then again, her pick did have, without question, one of the biggest years of any artist, in any genre.

"My artist of the year? Adele. I think thi…

Hello everyone! :) Yes, the final week of Christmas With Adele has finally come. :) First of all, voting has closed for the top Adele song so far (the complete list can be found here), and "Someone Like You" prevails at the number one spot with 17 votes, followed by "Set Fire to the Rain" (which had a total of 7 votes) and "Rolling in the Deep" (3 votes). "I'll Be Waiting", "Rumour Has It", "Lovesong", "Don't You Remember", "Right As Rain", "One and Only", and "Chasing Pavements" also made the top 10, each having one vote (except for "I'll Be Waiting", which had 3 votes, and "Rumour Has It", which had 2 votes). "Many Shades of Black" and "Make You Feel My Love" also received one vote. None of the other songs received any votes.

Hey guys! :) The other night I was at a basketball game with some old friends of mine, and I was driving home, and I turned on a rock radio station and you will never believe what was being played on it. (Although you might if you read the blog title) Of all things, Adele's song "Rumour Has It" from her massively popular album 21, was being played. And on a rock radio station, too! It was the strangest thing, not only because it was being played on a rock station, but because it was also being played on the radio. Period. Even stranger, "Set Fire to the Rain" was supposedly released to the United States December 13th, and I had yet to hear it. Now, according to various sources (although I had posted something mentioning this earlier on this…

We all knew 21 was a fantastic album, but now, it's official: 21 is the best-selling UK album of the twenty-first century, even more popular than Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black", U2's "All That You Can't Leave Behind" and Coldplay's "A Rush of Blood to the Head". Go Adele!

This is exciting news with the Grammies underway...perhaps this news will sway the vote and put Adele as the front runner for her many nomination categories.

What do you think? Do you think UKers are forgetting other albums that should have been more popular than 21?

Hello everyone, yet again! Once again, Rumour Has It that Adele may be involved in another big project that could be huge for her pop-stardom and music career. Lady Gaga has recently confirmed that she is dying to do a duet with none other than Adele! Nothing is official yet, and Adele has not yet come out and spoken about this, but this could be huge for Adele's music career! Although this could take Adele into the category of musicians who dress like demented Barbie dolls and sing about sex (eg: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry KE$HA, Britney Spears, etc.).
