2013 Awards

In 2013, Adele was nominated for two awards and won one for British Single of the Year; while she was unable to be there in attendance due to her rehearsing for her Oscars performance the same week, she did record a video of herself thanking her fans and made a self-referential comment about not wanting to interrupt the acceptance speech for Album of the Year; it was hinted Adele would win this award after it was revealed that they planned to make it up to Adele for interrupting her the previous year.

She was nominated for the Brits Global Success Award, along with One Direction and Mumford & Sons, but controversially lost the award to One Direction.
