"God Put a Smile Upon Your Face" is a song originally recorded by British alternative rock band Coldplay, taken from their second studio album, A Rush of Blood to the Head.[1] It was written by Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Chris Martin.

At the 2008 Brit Awards, Adele performed the song with Mark Ronson, followed by Ronson performing with Daniel Merriweather and Amy Winehouse.[2] Adele later appeared at one of his shows in London, where she again performed the song with him.[3]

Note: These are the lyrics Adele performed, not the original song's lyrics.

Where do we go nobody knows
I've gotta say I'm on my way, down
God give me style and give me grace
God put a smile upon my face

And ah, when you work it out I'm worse than you
When you work it out i wanted to
And ah, when you work out where to draw the line
Your guess is as good as mine.
