"Right as Rain" appears as the eighth track on Adele's debut album, 19. It is preceded by "First Love" and followed by "Make You Feel My Love". "Right As Rain" was written by Adele, Nicholas Anthony Movshon, Leon Marcus Michels, Jeffrey Scott Silverman, and Clay Holley.

"Right as Rain" is currently the featured song on Adele's MySpace page. ^[1]

Despite no confirmation that this was official cover art, a fanmade cover art for the song leaked online, as seen below.

Background and compositionEdit

The song is speculated to be written about the ex-boyfriend who inspired the majority of the songs on the album. It was written in the key of F Major. ^[2]

Live performances and promotionEdit

"Right as Rain" was heavily promoted and performed on various occasions, most notably during Adele's second promotional tour, the Adele Live tour, in which it was the only non-single from 19 to be promoted on the tour. It was also performed during the iTunes Festival and of course, the An Evening With Adele tour, which promoted her debut album 19.

The song was also performed on the American television series Ugly Betty. Adele's appearance on the show helped the episode to gain generally positive reviews. ^[3] The song was used in the season 2 episode of Lipstick Jungle entitled "Pandora's Box". ^[4] Due to the song's heavy promotion, it was speculated to be released as a single but never was. ^{[citation needed]}

It is currently the featured song on Adele's MySpace page. It also received an unofficial cover art, unlike most of the tracks from 19. This further added to the speculation that it would be released as a single from the album. It never received a single release despite this.
