Ryan Benjamin Tedder (born June 26, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the frontman of the pop rock band, OneRepublic, though he has an independent career as songwriter and producer for various artists such as Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, Far East Movement, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis, Gavin DeGraw, Demi Lovato, Adele, Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5, B.o.B, Gym Class Heroes, Adam Lambert, David Cook, and Paul Oakenfold. He has several received Grammy nominations: Record of the Year for Beyonce's "Halo," Album of the Year for Beyoncé's I Am... Sasha Fierce, Record of the Year for Leona Lewis's "Bleeding Love," Album of the Year for Adele's album 21, Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for OneRepublic's single "Apologize," and Producer of the Year, Non-Classical.

Work with Adele

Tedder wrote two of the songs off of Adele's album 21. He co-wrote "Rumour Has It" with Adele; he is also responsible for producing the track and mixing it. He worked on the song's programming and arrangement as well. Tom Elmhirst and Dan Parry worked with him on the track as a mixer and assistant, respectively.

Tedder co-wrote "Turning Tables" with Adele as well; Tedder showed up to the studio four hours early to work on the song and ended up describing a conflict between Adele and her ex-boyfriend perfecty without even discussing it at all. The song was released as the fifth and final single from the album, successing the fourth single, the Tedder-produced "Rumour Has It."

Adele later recruited Tedder for her third studio album, 25. Although they wrote several songs together from 2013 to 2015, the final track listing for the album only included one collaboration between the two, a song titled "Remedy."
