Simon Christopher Konecki is the current boyfriend of British pop singer Adele and father of her son, born October 19, 2012. He is often referred to as a Zach Galifianakis look-alike. ^[1] Konecki is also the CEO of a charity known as Drop4Drop. This same charity was the one in which Adele requested her fans follow it on Twitter a few months ago. Adele told her fans that if they did so, she would began "Tweeting" on Twitter. ^[2] Many tabloids have mistakenly published articles supposedly confirming that Simon and Adele are engaged, many even going so far as to say they married secretly, although Adele has denied these rumors via Twitter.

He is rumored to be between 36 and 39 years of age.

Early life and career

Simon Konecki attended the prestigious boys school Eton, served as director of investment group EBS and palled around with socialites and millionaire entrepreneurs. ^[3]

According to the Facebook page for Life Pure Water, Simon is an ex-investment banker who became “appalled by the growing distance between rich and poor. I felt that water was a human right and wanted to explore why we let it happen when fixing it as relatively easy.” Drop4Drop is supported by British Eastenders actor Sid Owen, who has been Simon's friend for 20 years, and the comedian Stephen Fry. ^[4]

Personal life

Simon Konecki is currently age 38. In January 2012, he was seen vacationing with pop singer and rumored girlfriend Adele in Florida, visiting the Everglades National Park. Later on it was confirmed that the two were dating. Soon after they were seen on the beach, they were seen boarding an alligator-spotting airboat. ^[5]

Konecki's parents live in a £1 million waterfront house in Florida, and his sisters went to public school Roedean. ^[6]

He was formerly married to fashion stylist Clary Fisher (after being wed in 2004) and was rumored to have been getting a divorce from her while dating Adele after deciding to split in 2010 (although the divorce supposedly had not been finalized). ^[7] It was confirmed by Adele herself in a blog post on her official website that Konecki has been divorced for 4 years. ^[8] Konecki and Fisher have a five-year-old daughter.

On October 19, 2012, Adele and Simon welcomed their first child together. After months of speculation, the child's name was revealed to be Angelo James Konecki. Adele and Simon currently live together with their son and Adele's dog, Louie, in the UK.

• Konecki has admitted to a strange nickname he has. He is often referred to as Swampy. When asked about it, he said:

• Konecki had recently been asked which celebrity he would hire if he could, and he responded saying, "Snoop Dogg – to answer the phones with his dulcet tones." ^[10]
• In the 19 booklet, the second person Adele thanked after her mother, was a man named Simon. While it is highly unlikely, the Simon that Adele is referring to in the 19 booklet may be Konecki, which would imply that they had known each other before the press reported that they had.
• When receiving her Golden Globe for Best Original Song for "Skyfall", Adele thanked Simon for encouraging her to record the song.
• Adele has hinted that Simon will be an inspiration for her third studio album, stating that she will "never be devastated again". She has also stated she would never write another breakup record, making reference to dedicating all of 21 to a previous lover. ^[11]
• A recent rumor claims that Adele and Simon are going through a difficult time due to her being in Los Angeles for the Golden Globes, Grammy Awards, and Oscars and him being in the UK due to his work for Drop4Drop. The source who claims this is true said that Adele feels like "a single mum" at the moment. ^[12]
• Despite this rumor, though, Adele has stated that when she feels nervous about her performance at the Oscars, she calls Simon and he calms her nerves. ^[13]
