We have some potentially good news for Daydreamers everywhere — if this is true. Adele was spotted at the Glastonbury Festival this past weekend, although she wasn't there to perform. Out of respect for her, we will not be posting pictures on the site because they were taken by paparazzi, but the photographs confirmed a few different things.
For starters, Adele arrived at the festival with her longtime boyfriend Simon Konecki, who is also the father of her two-year-old son Angelo. The Daily Mail claimed that since the two had not been spotted together in public since Halloween, there were allegations of a breakup, which this appearance put to rest. Simon was not the only one with Adele, though. They were also seen walking with her manager, Jonathan Dickins, throughout the day, and at one point, they were also spotted with Adele's assistant, Rose Moon, and Rob Stringer, the head of Columbia Records, which distributes her music in the US. Some fans have alleged that they could be discussing the release of her latest album, which several tabloids have recently reported will arrive as early as September (bear in mind, though — this is Adele, and with her, tabloids can very rarely be consiidered reliable sources of information). In addition to this, Paul Epworth confirmed on Instagram that he was in attendance, although it is unknown whether or not he met up with Adele because they may have been there on different days.
Some of the performers at the festival may also indicate why Adele was there. Paloma Faith, Kanye West, and Pharrell Williams all appeared at the festival. Faith is a self-proclaimed fan of Adele and has expressed interest in collaborating with her, and Adele appears to share the feelings, as she Tweeted a link to Faith's "Only Love Can Hurt Like This" a few months ago. Adele is also a fan of Kanye West, so it is very possible that she was there to see him as well. And, of course, earlier this week, Pharrell confirmed that he had worked with Adele on 25, so it wouldn't be surprising that Adele was there to visit him as well.
Regardless of why Adele was actually at the festival (because, let's be real — she could just be there to have a good time), one thing is for certain. The fact that she was meeting with a good portion of her team would indicate that she is most likely finishing up her album and planning a release, and we can only hope that means it will come this year.
