Okay, Daydreamers, now... Don't quote me on this, but there have been some reports that a release date was finally chosen for Adele's highly anticipated third studio album, rumored to be titled 25. Rumour Has It the new album will be released on November 24. Although Adele or XL Recordings have yet to make an official statement, a few different sources have made reference to this possible release date.
It was reported a few weeks ago that Adele and One Direction would go head-to-head on November 24, when both artists release new albums, according to Female First. Many fans were skeptical of this statement, being that One Direction and Adele are both signed to Columbia Records in the US and are the label's biggest artists, along with Beyoncé. This rumor, which also hinted that Gary Barlow was shooting for a pre-Christmas release date for his group, Take That, was dismissed by fans for the time being.
However, yesterday, music industry insider Paul Moss Tweeted that a "huge" release for the UK was coming on November 24. Although artists like Rihanna were tossed into the mix, the statement about it being a UK artist left two logical options left: either Take That or Adele. Earlier in the year, Paul hinted that Adele would release her lead single in October. If this proves to be true, then it's a safe assumption that Adele will release the album in November, which woul also increase the already huge sales that she is expected to get from releasing the album being that it will be close to Black Friday. Not only this, but in the past, the release dates of Adele's albums have been on or close to the number that the album is titled after. Therefore, it is safe to say that November 24 is a very logical release date for Adele.
Keep in mind that this is currently just a rumor, but it would make sense. We have reached out to sources for comment but have yet to receive a response. Regardless, it's pretty much set in stone we will have new music by the end of the year. We will keep you updated as more details become available.
